Longboard Features:

-
Parallel Nose Channel: Helps with early wave entry and maintaining planning speed on the wave. Also water is made to compress and speed up through the channel creating "lift", for increased stability when nose riding.
-
Added Width: Allows for early wave catching and maintain planing speed.
-
Soft 3/4 length rail: Makes the water spiral round the rail curve and hold into the wave face. This increases control and noseriding ability whilst weighting the tail rocker and tail rail at the back. When in normal surfing position it allows release to enable smooth controlled cutbacks, floaters and re-entries.
-
Rolled V: The "rolled v" through the bottom deck gives this board a smooth rail to rail transition.
-
Fin Set Up: This board comes as a 2 + 1 Set up (two sides and a longboard box center) in all sizes off the shelf apart from 9'8" and 10" which are installed with dedicated single fin boxes. Side fins are Fcs1 or Fcs2 on PU boards and Future system on epoxylite boards.
-
Construction: Ultimate Nose Riders come in either PU or Epoxylite construction. PU is the traditional construction of closed cell foam, stringer, fibreglass and polyster resin. Epoxylite is asuper lightweight open cell foam with stringer, fibreglass and epoxy resin to finish. Note all epoxy's are made abroard so custom option is not usually available.
-
Cloth: All boards feature 1 x 6oz + 1 x 4ozglass on deck and double 4oz underneath. With custom build we can add layers or change weights.
The Custard Point Ultimate Noserider is our best selling surfboard. Over the years it has undergone a long refinement process, resulting in this gem of a longboard that we see today.
The initial design brief was to create a small wave noserider for the competitive arena, that would aid the surfer to get to the set waves first, have early effortless take-off and maintain speed whilst still able to pull gouging cut-backs, top turns and of course, a super stable noserider.

More than anything it is just a real fun board. I think it's popularity is that it appeals to all levels of rider. The beginners enjoy a wave machine that is super stable for learning to walk the board. And the advanced surfers love the high wave count and the super long nose rides.
The Ultimate noserider has been responsible for many contest victories and placings including crowning a British champion.

The Ultimate noserider range comes in the following sizes 8', 8'6", 9'1", 9'4", 9'8" and 10'0". And are available in both off the shelf and as a custom builds.

Donald Takayama himself said that in it's class, this is the best board he has ever seen. Not a bad board review at all *****
